Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on the 18th of November 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed a knack in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her talent for sprinting when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt, she placed among the top two athletes at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix graduated from her high school education and was signed to a pro-contract to Adidas. In 2004 she enrolled in the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. One year later Felix earned her first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting a junior world record by sprinting 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to take home the 200 meters race. She defended the title by beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three in all her races.
