Rena Sofer

  Rena Sherel was born on December 2nd, 1968 is an American actress. She is well-known for her roles in daytime television, guest appearances as well as made-for-television film. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo in the soap show General Hospital. She played Quinn Fuller in the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful from 2013 to 2022.





 Childhood and early life



 Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) Professor of Psychology, as well as Martin Sofer, an Orthodox Rabbi.





 In 1970, she relocated to Teaneck, New Jersey with her brother David and her father. However, when Sofer was just five years old, she was living in Western Pennsylvania. The family was located in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was the director of Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She was a student at the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father was rabbi of Temple Beth El. After her graduation from North Bergen High School she was a student at Montclair State College.





 Career



 Daytime television



 Lois Marie Cerullo was the first Lois Marie Cerullo that Sofer performed with on General Hospital. Her first appearance was in 1993 as a musician manager. Her first appearance on television was as Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap production about Loving (1988-91).
